I am definitely going to check out the CD section at our library. What kind of a CD player did you get? We are spooked by Radio Shack, everything one gets there (because it's so convenient) seems to break. I would be delighted to join a Books on Tape Only group here. I started Possession but listened to one tape and gave up on it (my mind kept wandering and I kept having to rewind) and am now listening to Wodehouse. I'm so light weight.
