MM, been watching the mining shares closely
when do you expect them to perk up?
thinking about some small positions
you know we agree on the rationale

my impression is that gold and mining jump amidst panics
even in times of slowdowns and recessions
but ONLY AFTER the slowdown has run its course
as in 1992-93

as long as recovery perceptions continue to erode, gold will probably slide down with it
because inflation gives way to widespread deflation views

if evidence of deflation surfaces again, like with the last Producer Price Index, mining shares are likely to have trouble holding ground temporarily

so when do you expect the panic?
I am thinking mid/late autumn
it is inevitable in my view, only a matter of time
and it will be precipitated by large currency moves
what are your thoughts?
appreciated, Jim
