[All things in their own good time]

After reading the thread of yours and Thomas's converstaion I feel I must point out that if the xDSL market were a wave, you would see Paigain riding at the front of the wave towards the bottom, Westell would be just catching the wave at the top (paddling like hell I might add) and AMTX sitting at the back of the wave looking at the swell building behind them. HDSL is going strong, but is a waning technology. CAP is next, but it is not the best. DMT is the cream of the crop and will be an important part of the bandwidth mix of the future.

I don't see any of these companies dominating nor disappearing from the market place any time soon. I see a tiered smorgasboard of bandwidth offerings. The faster the connection the higher the fee. A place for each tecnology in line with who can afford it. And as we move forward someone will be developing a faster connection that is cheaper to impliment that will apply price pressure to the whoever is on the next wrung below.

AMTX will have its day, but with the new estimates of ADSL deployment in 98 and 99 it will be while yet. IMHO.
