Charlie, Ford's hydrogen ICE car will use pressure tank hydrogen storage at first, but I still don't think that cars will be built for the mass market with potential pressure tank bombs when a safe and more efficient alternative is available with hydride storage. Note the mention below of an "upgraded" fuel storage system that they are working on. Could it be hydride? We don't know yet.

"The vehicle is currently equipped with a conventional fuel storage system containing 87 liters of hydrogen at a pressure of 3,600 psi for an operating range of 62 miles. Engineers will soon install an upgraded fuel storage system designed to increase range to 150 miles or more."
