hmmmm..... One assumes that someone at the SI would tell insert vacant liberal mind's name here if it's slip were showing, if it had something caught in it's teeth, if toilet paper were caught on the bottom of it's shoe. But apparently, no one will tell it that it's columns are a shameless regurgitation of it's favorite tropes, fused on top of recycled conventional wisdom, uninformed bloviating, and a more and more brazen anti-Americanism. insert vacant liberal mind's name here has become Bob Herbert, without the reporting and the frank ideological commitment--which just leaves us with the crashing dullness, made all the more unbearable by the fact thatit's still thinks it's being clever.
