Liberal? Yeah right. But we do need some liberation from the pirates, disinformation specialists and old-style demagogues on the right. Though they represent minority as opposed to populist views on almost every issue they fight dirty, have no apparent conscience about lying, have lots of money from polluting and anti-consumer interests, and are led by old Cold War dinosaur defence spenders, rich lower tax advocates, sexists, homophobes, gun nuts, religious right intolerants, sexual repressives, racists, tokens, isolationists, paranoids, white collar criminalsm country club slackers and soft money wallowing pigs. Put them all together and you have a malaise-inducing toxic soup of some 30% of voters trying to tell the rest of us what to do. Tyranny of the minority. And they have GW by the short-hairs too because not only he one of them in some ways but they are primarily responsible for funding him, creating him and helping him "win" despite losing the popular vote. This nation has changed a lot but you wouldn't know it from looking at the Bush-Cheney appointees and operatives who are now trying to control the national agenda. Almost every one is anti-consumer, anti-environment, anti-safety net, anti-inclusive and many like their leader Cheney are obviously selfish cold-hearted very rich individuals who cuoldn't care less what we think and might have felt quite at home in Nazi Germany.
So what do we do? One by one, replace them, beat them, rally against them, educate people and liberate, yes, liberate our nation and our public lands, air and water from their clutches. |
