Years ago, Deep Blue totally defeated the best chess player on earth. Deep Blue is now a slow, stupid computer by comparison with what's available. When Irwin has finished building IT humans will look very chimp-like by comparison. Intelligence can most accurately be defined by the outcome. I suppose whether it's planned, subconscious, a glimmer of an idea or the outcome of an equation, algorithm or statistical inputs, the intelligence manifested is determined by the result.
