AV, Ian, Joe, and all - ...and AMAT touches 70 again. Got me thinking about the market's ongoing rationale for the equip valuation disparities. AMAT may have a more predictable earnings "visibility," but since when was UTEK rewarded for the nicely countercyclical blend of its various businesses? Oh well. Stop Press! Taiwan's UMC reveals $18.5 billion expansion plan; 5X 300mm + 1X 200mm. See David Aegis' post #518 on the SVGI thread. Does the "50,000 wafers per month" for the 200mm plant refer to raw silicon or finished product? Yow.
