EU to allow advertising of pharmaceuticals. I saw this announced several weeks ago, but no discussion here. The plan is to allow ads under scrutiny - as in the US. This might have a substantial effect, particularly with socialised medicine. Patients will be armed with knowledge and will demand more from their doctors. They might demand something inappropriate, then it will be up to the doctor to explain him or herself.
