I agree. Maybe.

Actually, religion is irrelevant to it.

After all, I don't know of any religion which has been around for more than 200 years which hasn't modified its principles at least somewhat. So the idea that just because principles are based on religion they are absolute is a fiction.

OTOH, I believe to be legitimate PMP principles they have to be based on something beyond the individual. If my "principles" are nothing more than "this at this moment I believe," they don't, IMO, mean diddley. Those aren't principles, the way I define principles.

So one has to ask, are there bases for belief beyond the individual which are not religious? And I guess that depends on your definition of religion.

I'll leave that here for the time being, as a work in progress.
