So should I say "eh" Don't get too serious on me now.
It really is a stereotype though. Interestingly enough, being from Le Québec I never even heard of the stereotype until this happened geocities.com
This is where I, a Canadian, first heard of Eh! as in Take off Eh!. I've never had 'Canadian Bacon' except in Vermont once :o) I never use Eh! except in jest, eg. it's only for 'special' occasions :o)

I can be sure to hear one of 15 or so common Torontonian languages any day but rarely the Eh! expression.

I always sent them to school dressed normally, and told them to tell everyone that they were Americans.
Now, don't get me going on that one. You've already heard my grammar school story :o)
