It is well- known that Jefferson was a Deist, who made his own version of the Bible which left out the miracles and focused on "teachings", like the Beatitudes. He regarded Jesus much the way that a Christian might view the Buddha. Now, that might put him in the camp of liberal Christianity, if one accepts, for example, Unitarianism as being Christian, but he did not accept traditional Christian doctrines like the Trinity, the Virgin Birth, or the Resurrection.......
