A.J.: Yes, you better talk to the company about those questions. I think I cut a high school chemistry class 35 years ago, the day they covered fuel cell theory, otherwise I would know this stuff better.

I did see in yesterday's Journal that one to two dozen nukes are expected to be closed down ahead of their projected lifespans over the next five years, due to the expense of getting them back into compliance with current safety codes. I think we are getting set up for some real electricity shortages in a few years. When that becomes apparent, it will be too late to solve the problem by putting up large conventional plants, because of the years of legal and other delays before they are ready to go online. A bunch of 2 mW fuel cell units, placed where needed without miles of transmission line across the countryside, might be an attractive solution. If ERC can get the technology to work in a reliable and economic manner, it will be looking at a large market.
