Just heard an ABC news report about tech companies continuing to scale back employment. JDSU and INTC are reportedly among companies actually paying new hires not to come to work, because their job offers had to be cancelled at the last minute. I'll bet those reverse-severance payments are making shareholders happy. Wonder what they call those payments on the next earnings report?
