As you know Jesus did not write the Bible, the authors are unknown. He was not born of a virgin, he was not physically resurrected, he did not perform miracles etc. etc. 2000 years ago and earlier all sickness was seen as the work of evil and sin against God. Science and medicine was primitive, virtually non-existent, therefore all cures were attributed to God. Christianity was founded by Saul and Constantine for political necessity made it a major religion. From my perspective God is in everyone and God is everywhere Everyone must make his/her own spiritual journey. The job and the responsibility can't be transferred (for a regular contribution) to some organized institution.
