Allen, the Shark is considerably smaller and lighter than Zip or Jaz drives. I mean, wer'e talking orders of magnitude.

Frankly, I'm not sure what the big deal with the Shark is either - you can get hard disks on a PC Card. The only advantage of the Shark is that it plugs into a "thin" PC Card slot. The PC Card hard disks all require a double-height slot (not present in all machines) and in most machines preclude plugging in a second card.
