I agree, on the outsourcing that is. I think we will have a choice, choose Communist China or choose english speaking India. Choose our neighbors Mexico, or hell bent corrupt asian regimes. On Texas Instruments, they still sell chips, calculators were a reason then, now phones, laptops, desktops, etc., the point is, you sometimes have to take a loss to create CRITICAL MASS to survive long enough to control profitability and bring home the bacon. Introductory high technology companies have to do this, PALM is no exception. Gates and MSFT in general never saw AOL or Netscape coming, they came, Netscape is now owned by AOL which just before the crash (unlike Yahoo) was smart enough, timing is everything, bought and owns TIME WARNER. PALM you know, just bought BE, Inc BEOS, for their internet applicance BeIA and their BE Operating System and other technology and intellectual property, I tell you, the value is going to be, after CRITICAL MASS (And PALM OS is 90% market share right now, and PALMs are about 75% average marketshare worldwide) the value, will be in the OS, in the PALM OS as it evolves and has a firm virtual MONOPOLY of the PDA HANDHELD WIRELESS SMARTPHONE COMPUTING marketspace. Gotta go, so I can execute some Buys before close...more later.. I am, Truly your$, -Crystal Ball |
