Korea's Telson Near KRW130 Bln Deal With
China's Konka

SEOUL -- Telson Electronics Co., a Korean mobile phone manufacturer, said
Wednesday it is in talks to provide 130 billion won ($1=KRW1,281) worth of
handsets to China's Konka Telecommunications Technology Co.

The two sides are close to an agreement, but Yoo Jung-soo, a Telson
spokesman, said the terms of the deal are still tentative, given that final
negotiations remain.

For now, the deal would have Telson provide 500,000 units of handsets using
the Code Division Multiple Access, or CDMA, technology
