Well...I don't think I see anything particularly fortuitous as to WHEN he came to his change of heart. And I don't see why you presume that he would be "just another guy with a career crisis" based on the timing of the evolution of his views. I think there has always been a market for motivated individuals who, (now here's another HR colloquialism) "think outside the box".

Now that I find hard to believe. Anytime you reference a persons racial background it could hardly be considered casual and meaningless.

But if you are indeed accustomed to that type of "casual and meaningless" reference within the framework of your "context"( meaning HR?) maybe that is part of the problem .

It sounds like you're labeling again.
