Save the .doc as .mcw 4.0 and if they have a recent version of word for the mac they should be able to read it with no problem. Like most programs, later versions can read older versions but not vice versa. Ergo....save it in the oldest version...4.0. You can also save it as .txt and they can read it (although you may lose any formatting). RTF (rich-text format) can not be read by some mac word processors.
