This $300mm has people cashing in their life savings. Think of how many people will miss meals or not be able to pay their rent because of the huge jackpot. And what about the winner? The average Vern that might win would have no idea of what to do with $300mm. New cars, big house, quit work, ok, he's spent $10mm. If he was to try to float in the realm of the other $290mm the people in that bracket wouldn't want to socialize with him. Way out of his milieu.
