All: comments welcome on the news that Doug provided:

dbc.com

The part that caught my attention was the comment by the CFO of $1 billion in revenues by yr 2000. I'm not exactly sure how to interpret it - whether the $1 B applied to RDRAMs sold by rmbs customers or whether it is revenues to rmbs (I got the latter impression).

If the CFO is implying the latter, then the company can continue to soar (and I suspect it was, in part, the reason for todays advance) and Tim's estimate is low. However, most CFOs are very conservative. It therefore brings up a question of why a CFO would feed this hype.

If the CFO is implying the former then earnings in the yr 2000 will be very small.

Makes one very suspicious
