I have also been buying the cgmv stocks. I wonder if the recent drop of price is due to the company's issuing new stocks to cover the purchasing of MDC, etc. The number of stocks the company is authorized to issue has increased from 20 mils. to 50 mils since the May's stock holder meeting. Without knowing how many stocks are curently outstanding, it is difficult to estimate the real value of the company. I suggest that somebody should take a look at the most recent SEC filing (6/14/96) by the company with regard to the MDC purchase to get a better idea about the book value of this company. I am not a MBA or accountant, so I am not the one to come up with a good figure. Based on a 5/24/96 companay report by an analyst, the book value of the company was $2.59, and the CASH was $2.74. So when we spend ~$3 to buy a stock, we already get >90% in cash back. Is this too good to be true or am I being too naive? The price to sale rato is ~ 0.2 which is extremely low. When the MDC sale is included, this value should even be lower although new stocks are issued. I woould apprecaite that somebody with good stock knowledge could give us some guidence and insights.
