The Federal Open Market Committee (news - web sites) voted 9-1 to cut short-term rates by a quarter percentage point at its June 26-27 meeting, with William Poole, president of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, casting a dissenting vote.... Not the sharpest tack in the box.
