Oh, ratlets, Mq. I've been biting my tongue for a while here, but I told everyone on the G* thread why G* wouldn't make it - this was last year, while Iridium was still in Chapter 11 and hadn't come back out. There is a demand for sat phones, but at this time only for regional (Indosat, Thuraya, ACeS Garuda, and so forth). For global sat phones, Inmarsat has a lock. It costs more, but it was first, and the people who want it already have the gear.

The future you envision isn't here yet. It's a beautiful future, but it's not gonna happen in the foreseeable future.

Kyros and LLCF will back me up - I warned about G*. I had higher hopes for Loral, but not if a Republican administration got elected - which it did. And I don't really mind Bernie getting what's coming, he deserves it.
