I'm going there, and a little further. Being a foreman or an owner of a business is the same damned thing as being a teacher,...but more, cause you can't send the little chits down to the vice principal to deal with,...and you don't get all those holidays,...and you are fully responsible for the result,...and if you don't get the job done, you get a lot of chit or you lose everything,..and your pension and benefits won't be guaranteed by the government.
Here in Ontario, few teachers have paid 50 grand to get their certificate,...maybe recent ones do,...but the majority have not unless they were professional students for a few additional years,..at the pub. Most take a 3 or 4 year degree in bullchit and then 1 or 2 years of teachers college. Many partied more than they studied for the first few years, and failed to become a doctor, lawyer, dentist, engineer etc, because it was too hard and took too much work.

Got a family full of teachers,...father retired at 60 with full pension,...bitched constantly,...did F!@# all for work. Rest of the family is the same,...what they are really pissed off about, is they have to get up at 6 am to get ready for that day's classes. If only I had it so easy.
Really don't have the time for this argument,...all I can say is, if I could replace most of them with a computer tomorrow, it would not be soon enough.
"Those that can, DO,...those that can't, TEACH",...with many exceptions, but unfortunately the 20% that do teach well, do not make up for the 80% that should do something else,...and that's what those computers are for.
I have taught high school and University,...I have managed 10 to 150 people at one time, I have owned several businesses,...the worst people I have ever dealt with is some Teachers, because they think they know everything and they bitch about everything.
Sorry Ralph,...all that chit just came out,...I have listened to too many family and neighbors (teachers) bitching about nothing for so long when I'm working harder and longer, putting up with more crap from suppliers, bosses, customers and staff, and having to save for every penny of my pension while my tax dollars are used to prop up teachers pensions and salaries whose pension funds are now buying up every mall, skyscraper, coal mine etc. to supply the teachers with their pensions.
