FParlady: I am a TV and Film editor. I edit nationally broadcast shows for PBS, Discovery, A&E etc. For the last six years I have watched Sony fall further and further behind in the editing arena. They have yet to develop a successful non-linear system. All their systems are still tape based. Yesterday I finished a show for PBS on an Avid that will be broadcast from the Avid. An Avid is Cube inside. The only Sony thing I used was a Betacam VTR used to playback the camera masters for digitizing into the Mac based Avid and then as a record medium for the finished show. Last summer I did a pilot that was shot on DV, but we finished and broadcast it from the Avid (Cube inside). Granted it's JPEG, but is is CUBE inside and it works. Sony has yet to introduce a marketable system. They are falling behind.

I am sorry you lost money, but you sold too soon. Cube has been and is today an innovator and a leader in this field. Your use of the term BS is unfounded and serves no purpose other than an a way for you to vent your anger. I would suggest group therapy as an alternative. Stop blaming others for you own lack of research and failure to stay with the stock.

Long and staying that way. Regards.

Tony
