Hi JWASS. Good to hear from you! Savant and Paul are permanent fixtures here, as you and I have been. We're the old gang, so to speak. I've known Savant to take a tongue-in-cheek shot at performance now and then, and that lends to credibility. They're both good guys and I've enjoyed occasional banter with them.
Having said that, EDIS is an investment for us and when it fails to perform to the high expectations of the company's announcements year after year, it is logical and natural to hear expressions of dissatisfaction here. The motives of any appearing to live on the threads year after year to be available to quickly post to bury and squelch these concerns are fairly clear. They would be folks who appear to monitor the discussions with a purpose that differs from that of the average investor.
In fact, if you go back to the Bre-X thread and read about the fraudulent activities surrounding the collapse, you will read about the most aggressive and persistent bashers on the thread being compensated to promote or being the "brother-in-law" of the CEO, etc. We already had one person posting here in aggressive and biased defense of the company who claimed to be such a promoter. Whether the company was involved with him or not, I don't know, but the fact that such activity and claims appeared here certainly isn't something that instills credibility and confidence.
I've never suspected Savant for a moment, as I know he has much more knowledge than the average investor and his banter with me has been to educate me rather than take such an unwavering position in defense of the company. I've never questioned your credibility because I've heard you express concerns when it was in the tank and adulation when there appeared to be success. In other words, at appropriate times. Paul knows that I give him the benefit of doubt as well; however, it certainly has been difficult lately, and I'll leave it at that.
