Cien has been doing better then many other companies in this area recently >> JDSU is sure the biggest optical component company. But strangely enough, it is not that cheap. Long term I like LMNE more. It is also pure component but it is concentrated on the Metro area (kinda like the last mile) which is still very under developed. There is a lot of dark fiber (unutilized capacity) waiting for customer. I think optic guys in the back bone area will have a much slower recovery. I am currently only short INTC, but looking for oppurtunities. Mani
