A real computer nerd would probably go to www.Adobe.com to download his copy of Acrobat Reader.

Really, if MSFT doesn't want to include a pdf reader, why should it be taken to task? It isn't as if the reader is all that hard to obtain. Besides, it appears on just about every installation CD these days.

As far as I know, the only pdf writer for Mac/Windows is Acrobat, which isn't a free piece of software. So why would MSFT want to include the writer? Last time I checked, AAPL doesn't either. Are you suggesting that MSFT start promoting other people's commercial software? Well, maybe if Adobe paid MSFT enough, I'm sure Mr Bill could be convinced to do a deal.

Then again, if MSFT decides to include its own pdf reader & writer, Scott & Co. might throw another hissy fit. And Adobe might feel inclined to whine too. Why go asking for trouble?
