yeah i see the hang seng getting clobbered to 2 1/2 year lows overnight. hj better keep an eye on his china mobile, it's getting slammed.

well greenspan benefits from the hindsight of the depression of the 30's and japan, plus we are a debtor nation. so i agree with you that he has a huge incentive to try to liquify the system with as much juice as he can. i notice japan is directly targeting the money supply with it's "quantitavie easing" policy, and people are calling for purposeful inflation-targeting to try to boost the economy. now the ecb seems to think it's safe to go on a rate cutting spree as well.

i'm sure this worldwide money-printing party will eventually stimulate growth and save some people from the unemployment line--but at a price.
