Bev, Essam and everyone else

I also have a huge interest in the shorting of stocks. Not because I presently do it (although I would like to try) but because of the constant fear I live in that every time a stock runs it is because of shorters.

I thought I would point out something that many people out there already know but it may help some of you. VSE rules are screwed up when it comes to the reporting of shorts on a stock. Even though the VSE short report may show little or no shorts on a stock there may actually be 100,000's of shorts on it. This is due to the VSE rule that a house can short a stock for up to half of what its clients own without reporting it.

For example. Lets say that customers of Canaccord own 5,000,000 shares of company ABC. If Canaccord shorts stock ABC for 2,550,000 than the short report would only show 50,000 (5,000,000/2 -2,550,000). That's a hell of a lot of shorts on a company.

At least this is how I understand the rules

Hopes this helps.

Bev - I have been beating my head against the wall all day for not buying NNS. I also have it on my watch list but was to chichen-s**t to buy in because I was fearing another JOT incident. However I agree with may out there that as soon as the volume drops below 200's it would be a great short canidate

BEST REGARDS
