Note how the Bollinger bands are narrowing with the VXN. We could see a breakout one way or the other soon. My guess, based on the complacency indexes (I've posted real-time values on the CI thread), is that the Naz could break out to the downside before long, particularly since support has broken recently. But it's a guess. (The Naz breaking to the downside would mean the VXN bouncing off a low point -- maybe as soon as today -- and breaking to the upside, btw. The VXN, as you know, generally moves inversely to the market. It's a contrarian and should be banned.)
