It's been a long time since my last post here. Still running the same old PII with Win95b and waiting for XP to upgrade both hardware and software. Used to be an avid Netscape user but gave up on 6.0 & .1 and haven't checked in lately to see if they've fixed it so now using IE5.5.
Only improvement has been to switch from dial-up to cable a few months back and installed Zone Alarm. I read through the posts of the numbers posted and thought that mine had just had those huge hit numbers initially and when nothing was found didn't return and my hit numbers just petered off naturally. Didn't think that I had just done all this in the nick of time through sheer luck and avoided that nasty worm.
Enough chit chat, now to my first problem that I haven't been able to solve with a few hours of trying. A few weeks ago I was unable to log on to bigcharts.com and read a post that it was down, and read somewhere where it was not only down for a couple of days, but down and out for the count. False information, or my bad interpretation of information and I learn that others are posting links to bigcharts. Whether I've done something with security or cookie settings in either IE or Zonealarm, but when I click on bigcharts in my Favorites menu or click on a link through a post that others are telling me works for them, I can't get throught to their server. It's like they banned me.
I don't know where any of the thread regulars post otherwise on SI, or what their philosophy on investing is, but I need to be able to use this link.

I tried to post very late last evening and had another glitch which I thought was very strange. SI sort of logged me off and when I tried to log in nothing happened. As I had a few windows opened which were logged in when I linked to my inbox or Subjectmarks which registered users only can access, I was kicked out and asked to log in, but couldn't. I tried a bunch of things like closing IE and reopening it, rebooting the computer which I very seldom have to do it has always been so stable, resetting the modem and renewing my IP configuration etc. Finally went to bed and everything okay this morning.
