Here is a company,stock,concept,call it what you wish.I have had only one stock with this potential(unrealized as of yet) in 31 years,ands that was too long ago to remember,but it was UPJ with Prostigladins which were going to cure everything but my snoring.Please all you old people dont go back and tell me what happened,because I made a fortune on the expectation.It was on the cover of Fortune,Forbes,on the news,on every buy list in Wall Street.Why do I mention this?I have a personal model of sales and earnings for CCSi for the next 2-3 years,and I believe I have underestimated what the potential is,because I feel that the hospital market going to be huge,then the pediatirc market,then the home care,but in reviewing these models I believe that upon approval I have understimated by at least 50%.Here is what I think,(this is hype according to some)there are 10mm babies born each year,until all homes get tv's.25% are premature,and have to be tested for a period of time,at a cost of $150 per baby=$375,000,000mm per year.Want to guess at our % of that market(I guess 10%=37.5mm@50% margins.Question,what if we get 20%-30%-40% with the right distribution?What if some percentage of the (healthy) babies are also tested?Let me give you a personal experience that means nothing,but someoen close to me had 2 babies averaging 9.5 lbs at birth,by defintion,healthy babies.#1 developed Jaundice upon going home after 24 hours,it took 2 weeks to solve the problem,#2 baby was 9.6lbs,went home in 24 hours,developed jaundice,a serious case,almost off the charts.Mom knew what she was dealing with,and for the next 10 days her husband left his office,came home, took the infant to the local hospital,had a debilitatingt blood test,sat for and average on 90 minutes for the results with an unhappy baby,not a happy daddy either.What if they had a package,system,to take home from the hospital to determkine the onset of Bilirubin and call the doctor or nurse for instructions?Want to guess at that market?In summary,my firm belief is that in the near future,we will have FDA approval.If we get it,we will see it on CNBC,ABC<CBS<NBC<GOOD MORNING AMERICA,we are dealing with babies,which a lot of people can relate to.Day 1-2-3- after approval,some enterprsing reporter will point out the following,Babies,and can you believe this device can tell you the color of your skin for cosmetic purposes,can match your teeth in dental work,can match paints,can match your drapes,carpets,sheets,towels in home decorating.It will be in the business section of every newspaper in the country.HYPE NO,the real world.There are about 9mm shares,and I know where 7mm are,the air might get very thin.Also,some SMART MONEY people have been shorting the stock over the last 2 weeks on an evaluation basis,i.e, no sales,no earnings,high market capitalization,an excellent short for the uniformed.I eat,sleep,and breathe this stock,and I have an unhealthy position,unless it works,but upon approval perhaps I can enjoy the fruits of my labor,because I honestly believe this type of shot comes along once in a career.......... |
