An NBC News/Zogby International Poll taken after Condit’s interview aired found that 84 percent of those surveyed were “very unsatisfied” with Condit’s answers about why he didn’t come forward sooner to the police and explain his relationship with Levy.
Results also showed that:
71 percent believe Condit is holding something back.
77 percent said they felt the same about Condit after watching the interview, but of those who said their opinions were changed, 78 percent said they felt more negative toward Condit, while 18 percent said they felt more positive.
81 percent said that if Condit were their congressman they would not vote to re-elect him.
93 percent felt Condit was motivated more by his concern for his political career than his concern for Levy.
The poll surveyed 505 adults nationwide who watched the interview and has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.2 percentage points.
