Milo,

<if you selling out of CPU's what does higher Mhz buy for AMD at this time?>

$$ (just check the price difference between the different MHz processors)

Also, higher MHz would put the P4 even more to shame, which might just be enough to make it into the skulls of your average Joe out there. Apparently 22% get it, but there is still a lot of convincing to do, and it looks like AMD is going to let the likes of Anand and Tom do all of the talking.

<What does the A4 for desktop do this Quarter vs A4 for the laptop?>

Runs faster. Sounds better. OEMs like it. AMD comes at least closer to their initial Pally schedule.

EDIT: misinterpreted what you said. You're comparing the wrong thing. Don't compare desktop A4 with mobile A4 for this quarter. Compare desktop A4 with Tbird. Of course they needed mobile A4 this quarter.

<So you don't believe the reports of AMD getting more corporate marketshare. (see last AMD PR)>

Yes, I believe them. But I still don't see any tier-1 OEMs including an AMD corporate line. Yes we're making headway, but headway for the sake of headway is not good enough.

<IBM is 3 months old news.>

Yes, but it is still not good news. Notice the share price lately?

<Why do you need to market when you sell everything you make?>

$$ (see my answer to your first comment above)

<And TY for responding.>

You're welcome.

Don't get me wrong Milo. As I said earlier, I think AMD has done fairly well given the tough environment. It's just that IMHO they could still do a lot better, that's all.

JJ
