Albert /Anyone, I'm looking for a clue. What makes me lick my lips these days is MP. I don't have a clue about MP, but 2 cpu's sound better than one...it would be my reason to upgrade. What are the advantages and disadvantages of putting two cores on a die compared to an MP system with two cpu's. Are thermal issues huge? I currently have a 1.5 P4 and a 700 P3. The only reason I don't have a athlon in my house right now is ....well my wife. I'm a techno geek, she is not. Also if AMD did shoot the wad on getting performance on .18, what techniques do you think they used to improve poly gates. Why is intel behind on just starting to use these techniques on .13? burn2learn
