Truthfully, I'm not sure what to make of your BradCCI system. I haven't pored over all the notes and tried to make sense of it yet. My initial reaction was: How could you just overlay the indicators and expect crossovers, etc., to mean anything? But you seem to be confirming your theory with more data. Maybe you're on to something
Someone else here said they like to know the rationale behind the formula always. That's a tough order, though. You'd have to be part mathematician, part statistician, part psychiatrist, part physicist, part philospher, and no doubt, in real trading, part pilot, knowing how to take off and land.
I tend to mistrust any formulas I develop that appear to work. That first mistranslation I did of Claud's BB formula was generating good signals and good returns in profit/system testing, even though it was wrong. In any case, even the best formulas seem to be like a favorite old pair of Levis: The more you depend on them, the bigger the holes get.
I was thinking the other night how the creators of RSI and other well-known formulas must have felt when they first came up with them. In the beginning, they must have felt they had astonishing accuracy. Then in time they came to seem less reliable.
I think the jazz ballad I'm listening to is affecting my thoughts. Too melancholy tonight. All my favorite sell signals are failing the test of this bull market. Perhaps you've discovered a system that can make sense of it. |
