Dear Fyo: I run Linux. So does my brother. We can play a game, FTP software from the web through a broadband connection, serve web pages (at least he does), convert CDs to MP3 files, gives taunts over a voice internet connection (great for distractions) and burn CDs (no coasters yet except for power failures) all at once. And this on a single CPU. Linux time slice scheduling does not allow a single task to hog all the resources unlike MS Windows, any flavor. And you can give a process priority so that it will get more slices per time period. The disk cache helps greatly too. Perhaps you should switch away from windows for CD burning and all of those multiple tasks you want to simultaneously do. Pete
