That was a long response to a short question, but let me start with a response to the last quote first. I never trust a man in a tutu, even if he is an Arch Bishop, the funny hats are bad enough. Interesting quote from a black man who has risen to the position that he has. One wonders why he keeps it if that's what he truly feels about the church? I don't advocate thought control, and I'm surprised to find you on that side of this issue, since in the past you have advocated unlimited freedom of thought, almost to the point of anarchy. How shocking to find your just an old fashion guy with old fashion values, but that your idea of freedom is only the freedom to be just like you. Isn't that special? Our justice system has always measured its response to transgressors by giving due consideration to the thoughts and motives of the perpetrator, and thus determining a measured and rational response These are your words, if they are true then hate crimes legislation is totally unnecessary. You don't sound very "tolerant" of moral absolutists, could it be they are the real target of such legislation? Would it be a hate crime to believe homosexuality is sinful? How about proclaiming that abortion is murder? These kinds of pop laws are nothing more than a thinly veiled attempt to impose a party line group-think on those who would dare dissent to the Amoral revolution. The fact is that the moment these types of laws are enacted it will be Gay rights groups and planned parenthood that will be waiting for the courthouse doors to open the very next day. It's Backdoor politics and nothing more. Finally I have no fondness for the glory days of the past. They never existed. Rather it's the glory of that soon future day, when Christ returns to rule and reign with justice and mercy. There will be no stealing of land or anything else for that matter.
