Steven B. Hochhauser Appointed Senior Vice President, Engineered Products Group for Johns Manville

DENVER, Aug. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Johns Manville Corporation (JM) today announced that Steven B. Hochhauser, 49, has been appointed senior vice president for the Engineered Products Group, effective August 13, 2001. Hochhauser will report directly to Jerry Henry, Johns Manville chairman, president and CEO.

The Engineered Products business includes mats and fibers, glass fabrics and air filtration products. JM is the global leader in the production of base fiber, fiber glass and polyester spunbond mats used as substrates for roofing and flooring applications. JM manufacturers fiber to reinforce gypsum wallboard and plastics, leads the worldwide market for glass fabrics used in specialty wallcoverings, and is the leading global producer of ultra-fine fibers for filtration media. The Engineered Products business has operating facilities in the United States, Germany, Sweden, England, Poland, Slovakia and China.

Hochhauser comes to JM from Honeywell International (formerly AlliedSignal), where his most recent role was vice president and general manager of Honeywell's Engineered Applications & Solutions, a $750 million global business. Hochhauser's career at AlliedSignal began in 1992. From 1987 until 1992, Hochhauser was employed by United Technologies and prior to that, he spent four years with Rockwell International. Hochhauser graduated from the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1983.
