<Is there something about VECO that puts their earnings in doubt?>

IMO, the earnings estimates for VECO should be just as "good or reliable" as for any of the other semi-equips in the table. However, as everyone is aware, earnings estimates for the semi-equips have been decreasing over the last several months. Over that period, VECO stock price has deteriorated more than some of the others.

As an example, look at the prices in the May time frame and the closing price yesterday for 4 stocks - AMAT, KLAC, NVLS and VECO. The prices for May are approximate ranges for each stock.

AMAT - 50 to 58 - close yesterday 46.89
KLAC - 50 to 60 - close yesterday 51.57
NVLS - 48 to 58 - close yesterday 50.05
VECO - 47 to 57 - close yesterday 34.04

Two of the stocks, KLAC and NVLS, are trading inside their May ranges, while AMAT is trading slightly under its May range. VECO has dropped down considerably.

I just believe that at some point, VECO will again come into favor and the price will catch up to the other "big 3".
