Hi Carl,

Was looking thru the Intel spec (pdf) for the Itanium chipset (460GX).

Regarding the memory interface two questions arose (I already knew they were using sdram):

1. They specify memory up to 64 GB. Assuming a max of 4 DIMMs that means 16 GB DIMMs or am I missing something?

2. In the memory bus specification, page 68 (6.2= AC specs) it says:
The memory address bus operates at a clock frequency of 133 MHz. The memory data bus contains signals specified by "SS" in section 2.4 that use source synchronous clocking allowing up to 266 MHz operation.

Can I read this to mean it is prepared to take DDR-2100 or is there another interpretation?

Cheers
Cor
