I'm so sorry. I get one or two a day, too, usually (The Wonder That Is Steroids has made my head feel perfect since 12:45 on Thursday, the longest completely headache-free period I can remember, I need a pusher) but don't count them, really, if fiorinal works, which it usually does.
What is Maxalt like? I mean, is it like fiorinal (butalbital) or like Imitrex, which doesn't work for you, so it must not be an Imitrex descendent. Or just a painkiller like codeine (which is useless, I find.)
The other night we were with friends in a restaurant with GREAT chocolate cake, the grownup lovely kind, and I made this experiment (in the spirit of scientific inquiry, of course): I took half an imitrex and a fiorinal with codeine and ate the damn cake.. It was heaven, and NO HEADACHE, though chocolate is the WORST thing.
Half an imitrex doesn't wipe me out the next day, but a whole one does. |
