No, the fact that there might be terroristic use of weapons of mass destruction does not invalidate the point, that the strategic use can become superfluous..... Your beginning comment was: The idea behind SDI is to put an end to the Nuclear Age..... Which is significantly different than strategic use. I might also point that the Administration is opposed [currently] to the test ban treaties, which hardly expresses any optimism that there is going to be any end to the Nuclear Age. Perhaps you would say that the Administration policy is to use nuclear weapons in a tactical manner only? Increase the flight distance of cruise missiles and you have more than an adequate strategic weapon. jttmab
