Unless I am mistaken, President Reagan had the idea to call upon Mr. Gorbachev to tear down the Berlin Wall, and Secretary Gorbachev would have none of it. Had he responded to Reagan’s call, his many admirers would be justified as they experience episodes of what Rush Limbaugh calls “Gorbasm.

Alternate histories are always enjoyable. I've seen this one [above] quite a few times. It implies that if Reagan had not had the idea, then the Berlin Wall would still be standing. It just wouldn't have occurred to the West Germans. So we at the Washington Times give credit to Reagan for tearing down the Berlin wall. Three cheers, hip, hip, hooray and put Reagan's picture on the $10 bill. [I think it's the $10 that the movement is for].
