Modem wars market share...

The suspiciously named "Eric B." says, "You should check your marketshare data. Kflex: 94%, X2: 6%. So who's winning the war?"

Do you actually expect anyone to believe you, "Eric B.", or do you just want a flame war or something. I guess this is the way we get a new topic onto the "Hot Topics" list!

Anyway, where do you get 94% share for K56???

Here's an independent estimate for X2's market share at 33%:

biz.yahoo.com

Considering the low financials from major Rockwell OEMs like Zoom, Boca, Diamond, (and probably Hayes), I wouldn't be surprised if the Rockwell share is even lower. Of course, Rockwell is losing share to Lucent, too....

People are buying and using X2 now... but it's hard to find a K56 ISP to call, even if the client modems are for sale. Have you got a K56 modem, Eric? Does it work???
