You mean our surplus they gave mainly to the very rich?
Again the stats don't lie. The 4500 richest got as much as the 140,000,000 poorest. This isn't a partisan issue it's an American Spirit fairness issue. It's also a fiscal conservatism issue. The GOP is not only unfair but wasteful and even cruel. The 4500 richest didn't need it and many didn't even want it. Especially when it's now going to cut into Social Security and many other programs you too value. The GOP likes to talk about wasteful spending but their 33 billion in tax breaks to Big Energy and 100 billion to Star Wars alone will break the bank. Also the 100 billion energy gouging we took from June to June is three times the amount of the total tax cut so Bush's boys in Big Energy clearly stole that several times over as well since now we know the shortages were all phony and manipulated and the gouging sheer abuse to line pockets and help GW into the White House.

So if you're a rich oilman you're happy as a clam these days. Everyone else but the very rich gets to bend over and take it for this administration. Thanks a lot, GW. And you do know they lied about this all the way through the campaign, don't you? In other words, their lies stole the election because their real actions are very unpopular outside the oil patch and a few other right-wing enclaves. They cover their actions up with alot of nice photo ops but if you read the fine print they're dishonest and represent the worse kind of gouging of the consumer, environment and government revenues. As for taxes, yes it is "our" money but they never tell you it's also "our" debt, and they are now sinking us back into debt after we'd finally gotten ourselves out of that. Again, thanks a lot GW. Their policies stink like the Houston air. The smell of dirty money.
