even Timothy BS Prickett Morgan acknowledges it :-) The one thing that neither McNealy or Zander wanted to talk about as much as the economy was IBM's forthcoming 16-way pSeries 680 "Regatta" servers, which will be based on IBM's 1GHz Power4 processors. "I haven't seen a Regatta, so I don't even know what it is," said Zander in response to a question about how Sun would position itself against these IBM servers, which are due in late October and which will have many of the features that have made the Starfire Enterprise 10000 servers sold by Sun since 1996 a superior product even if it doesn't always scale as much as IBM's big Unix servers.
